CWB 目标

请简要介绍一下上一报告期内您提议的 CWB 目标的进展情况:

We are making significant progress. We had a very useful trip to Chicago this month and met with several groups and provided an in-person training for a dozen co-op members. We have enrolled over capacity for a Training for Trainers program on permanently affordable housing cooperatives. We expect at about 15 participants in the class (designed for 7 to 15 participants) that will design a present a training for a co-op in Chicago. We have also been making progress on contact board members of existing co-ops and have begun advertising Co-op University that will provide advance training for co-op board member and members. We are meeting with two groups in Chicago that hope to be offering Share Loans for co-op members and finally we expect to announce the final permanently affordable housing cooperative Incubator this month and plan to begin it in late January or early February and have already go several groups requesting to participate.

在上一报告期内,您遇到了哪些制约或限制(如果有)?

We are continuing to find access to co-op board member constrained by property managers and other gate keepers. While we understand that they feel a duty to shield their clients from un-useful solicitations they are also making it difficult to provide training for their clients. The Phase Two grantees are experiencing issues identifying properties and financing.

在上一报告期内,您利用了哪些机会(如果有)?

While we are having issues with gate keeping at many co-ops we have gained access to board members at several co-ops including some of the largest in Chicago. We now think that wee have enough co-ops and board members to successfully and usefully provide out Co-op University, as noted above, and will begin that in December. We also think that we have identified enough interest from possible collaborating groups to provide a robust Incubator early next year as described above.

We also met with representatives at CIC's Trouble Building Initiative and Preservation Compact who have worked with trouble housing co-ops in the past and are interested in supporting other trouble co-ops as that may be needed.
