UGC's first month of programming for the Grower Apprenticeship program! This included orientation for all apprentices (returning, and new), Farm Foundational workshops, and a Solidarity Economy workshop in partnership with Upside Down Consulting. UGC also hosts scheduled time for applied learning without instructors to allow participants space to understand their skill strengths and additional needs for support. Farm activities were planned around weather and seasonal needs as weather begins to warm for spring.

UGC was able to secure a $95,000 grant from the Illinois Stewardship Alliance's Local Food Infrastructure Grant to support additional build-out and capital expenses related to our CCWBE grant support of the South Chicago processing shed.
