The CSC Team is actively executing the plan developed in August 2024 to deliver the milestones from the former Project Manager and we are making headway. We are still exploring options for staffing the Retail Store and have brainstormed a model that would engage the select vendors that are selling their product inside the store and online in working at the store certain days of the month. The plan has not been finalized and is still in the early stages of development as an alternative to a workforce development initiative.

The onsite visit that was planned for September 2024 will likely take place in October. We will have an update on that in the October 2024 report filed in November 2024.

A Special Vendor Agreement between CSC and NPHM has been successfully executed at a pop-up event at a local high school and the CSC Team is very pleased with the results of this collaboration. An additional event is planned for October 2024 at the NPHM Building and a new Special Vendor Agreement will be executed just for that event. We expect to report on that in November 2024.

What constraints or limitations with internal capacity is the organizarion experiencing related to its Pre-Development Project?
A new bank account and City of Chicago Business License will be applied for in October 2024. The CSC Team is debating the cost of maintaining it’s expired membership with 1871 after the scholarship runs out. .
What opportunities, if any, did the organization take advantage of related to its Pre-Development Project?
The CSC Team was selected to be a part of the new Early Warning Network that was also a CWB Grant recipient.
