Workshops: New skill development, and refreshers for returning apprentices focused on the following topics: 11/2/24 Sat 9:30-11:00 am Winterize Drip Irrigation 11/13/24 Wed 6:00-7:30 pm Coop/Solidarity Economy: Designing Your Democratic Structure Part II 11/16/24 Sat 9:30-11:00 am Bulb Planting 11/23/24 Sat 9:30-11:00 am Program Wrap Technical Assistance: providing additional hours beyond workshops to ask questions, apply skills in the field with UGC staff, and review past topics as relevant to current growing needs. 11/9/24 Sat 9:30-11:00 am Technical Assistance Group Work and Applied Learning: times set aside for Grower Apprentices to work together to complete farm work as cohorts and apply learning from recent workshops. The program’s calendar initially concluded on the 23rd of November, as our programming end date is based off of growing season end dates for Chicago, which takes into account weather and daylight hours. UGC scheduled additional sessions in December: Garlic Planting 12/7 Visioning 12/14 Working in Progress: Revisions for 2025 Work in Progress: Workshops for 2025
