TA Providers: General Questions

CWB Goals

Please provide a brief update on your progress toward your proposed CWB goals in the last reporting period:

We successfully convened members of our Advisory Committee on four occasions in May 2024. Writing and Revisions subcommittee members met twice to collaborate on the Early Warning Manual revisions with a focus on updating data references and identifying possible areas for case studies. The Outreach Subcommittee met once to brainstorm additional contacts for targeted recruitment and to review drafts of the recruitment materials. We also held our monthly whole-group Advisory Committee meeting, where we shared the revised timeline and the plans for the two training modules (explained in the previous report). The committee also spent significant time discussing the training application process, deciding it should consist of: 1. An Interest form 2. An Interview 3. Applying a Scoring Matrix 4. Final approval/selection 5. Notification of acceptance | Our next steps are to modify the interest form, create interview questions, and develop a scoring matrix to rank applicants. It was also decided that relying solely on targeted invitations would limit our reach. Therefore, we will send invitations to a targeted list and simultaneously allow open and general recruitment. The timeline, explained at length in the previous report, can be summarized as follows: recruitment will begin no later than the end of June 2024, applications will close in mid-August 2024, and participants will be selected and notified by the end of August 2024. This timeline spans about 2-3 months from recruitment to notification of acceptance into training. We have attached an image of a table that captures our revised timeline. Additionally, our team had a 30-minute midpoint check-in with Mayowa to share the status of our project and explain how the project plan and timeline have shifted due to the late start.

What constraints or limitations, if any, did you experience in the last reporting period?

No new constraints or limitations were experienced, but the scheduling of meetings with all Advisory Committee members present continues to be a challenge.

Pauline continues to attend the Worker Cooperative Webinar Series hosted by the Democracy at Work Institute (DAWI). The latest was webinar #3 on Legal and Accounting matters.
