We completed our permanently affordable housing co-op incubator sessions with over a dozen participants. We have also been meeting with others in the Chicago co-op community to build capacity. We are planning a graduation ceremony soon.
What constraints or limitations, if any, did you experience in the last reporting period?
Share loans continue to be the greatest stated need. We are limited by the lack of a directory of permanently affordable co-op housing in Chicago.
What opportunities, if any, did you take advantage of in the last reporting period?
We continue to participate in the Chicago Co-op Taskforce. We continue working with The Resurrection Project and others to discuss setting up a share loan program. We have begun planning to gather information on the existing affordable housing co-ops in Chicago.
