Please provide a brief update on your progress toward your proposed CWB goals in the last reporting period:
Although TRP did not provide direct community engagement, we dedicated our time to help potential co-op owners apply for the SEIP grant. We are currently working with forming groups to get them ready to apply. The Resurrection Project joined the UHAB and CWBE to celebrate the 2-year program that has closed. We attended the wrap up event held at UIC Law downtown campus where we met with other TA providers, co-op leaders, and city officials to discuss our success and some restraints we experienced.
What constraints or limitations, if any, did you experience in the last reporting period?
The the biggest constraint and limitation was the closing of the grant fund. The tardiness of the project launch should have been considered. It seems that most folks are just now ready and fully capacitated by UHAB and CCWBE.
What opportunities, if any, did you take advantage of in the last reporting period?
Ray Arroyo worked with The Little Village Cooperative group to do some phone banking and provide support to folks who have applied by providing way finding and guidance support. Kristen Komara, Chris Martinez, and Ray Arroyo attended the closing event hosted by the city. We were able to connect to other project members and discuss where we are and how we see this work continuing.
