In December we collected formal feedback from our members and prospective members who joined us on our field trip looking at different affordable housing developments in the city. These bits of feedback on concrete questions like preferred density, facade design, amenities, etc. are incredibly helpful for our design team working on our proposed project at 18th & Peoria.

What are the barriers and opportunities for completion that you impacted goal 2 in the last month?
Discussions with our architect about a formal contract are ongoing. While it’s unfortunate there ended up being no release of an RFP for 18th/Peoria as was anticipated, we’ve taken the opportunity to hone in our relationship with the architecture firm and adjust as necessary.

What are the barriers and opportunities for completion that you impacted goal 3 in the last month?
A major barrier for our project was the lack of an RFP being released for 18th & Peoria, as we were told to anticipate from various government sources. However, we were happy to learn that the Department of Housing has hired a new staffer whose responsibilities include overseeing the 18th & Peoria project. We have been connected and are scheduling an introduction meeting for January.
