Please provide a brief update on your progress toward your proposed CWB goals in the last reporting period:
Pauline Lake joined our team this month in the role of Research and Instructional Design Project Coordinator. Since Pauline’s start on January 16th, we have made significant progress in preparing to execute project tasks. Most notably, we have successfully convened the Advisory Committee members twice, on January 17th and January 29th. Pauline has begun building relationships with Advisory Committee members, both individually and collectively, and actively working to schedule additional convenings with the plan to meet at least monthly moving forward. Our next full group Advisory Committee meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, February 27th. During the first convening on January 17th, the Advisory Committee collectively decided that Lucy Minturn, Founder and CEO of FosterWorks, should be invited to join the committee. We are pleased to share that Lucy was invited to join and she has since agreed to participate - successfully joining us for the January 29th meeting. During the January 29th meeting, the Advisory Committee discussed their initial thoughts and reactions to the Early Warning manual. They collaboratively brainstormed ideas with MR staff for how to update and revise the manual, making significant progress toward our project goals. The Advisory Committee has also agreed to form two subcommittees that will help us accomplish project tasks with Pauline’s guidance. The first subcommittee, consisting of four Advisory Committee members, will concentrate on writing and revisions for the Early Warning manual and developing materials for the training. Part of this work will also include conducting research on the latest data, information, best practices and trends in Manufacturing and ownership. The second subcommittee, consisting of two Advisory Committee members, will focus on outreach and recruitment with the primary objective of identifying stakeholders who may be interested in receiving Early Warning training while also raising awareness of the CCWBE project. The subcommittees will aim to meet synchronously at least twice in February and work asynchronously on tasks. The scheduling of those meetings is currently underway. We have also drafted a revised work plan and timeline. Conducting research and beginning the first edit of the Early Warning manual will be a major focus for the month of February. With the revised timeline, our hope is to have a first draft published by the end of April 2024. We would then begin training in May 2024 starting with beta training for MR staff and Advisory Committee members. The feedback from the beta training will inform the second revision of the manual. The pilot cohort training would then occur in Summer 2024.
