For this reporting period, we have explored different outreach opportunities. With the influx of new arrivals, we took the opportunity to partake in spaces to inform them about community wealth building models. We also continued with general outreach in the community. These opportunties have allowed our team to make strides in canvassing an exteremly large number of individuals, and in turn, allowing us to complete a huge amount of our annual work plan goals. Connecting with the new arrivals has generated an interest within that community for worker cooperatives and we are seeing some additional interest that will ideally translate into 1-1 coaching to support new arrivals in pursuing cooperative models.
What constraints or limitations, if any, did you experience in the last reporting period?
We did not experience any current constraints or limitations this reporting period in carrying out our work; however, we would like to facilitate more collaborations with partners in the CWB ecosystem.
What opportunities, if any, did you take advantage of in the last reporting period?
We took the opportunity to collaborate with Chicago BACP on a virtual webinar, we had 70 attendees that expressed interest on the worker cooperative model. We also engaged in shelter visits that granted our team the opporutnity to engage with new arrivals here in the City of Chicago.
