PIHCO has made a lot of progress putting together the strategy for outreach to the two adjacent owners. We have assigned contact leads and drafted letters proposing purchase. One of our letters has already been sent, with the other under review for translation.

What are the barriers and opportunities for completion that you impacted goal 2 in the last month?
PIHCO recently won a grant from the city via it’s Demolition Impact Fees program passed for the community area, which will be used for improvements at our Morgan property. Should we able to purchase the property to the south, it will also require structural repair and improvements.

Internal capacity is not particularly constrained at this moment
What opportunities, if any, did the organization take advantage of related to its Pre-Development Project?
The grant for improvements we were awarded was an excellent opportunity in building out our infrastructure and ability to address those needs, especially as we project those needs will arise should we purchase the property to the south.
