CWB Goals

Please provide a brief update on your progress toward your proposed CWB goals in the last reporting period:

- Conducted 16 research interviews with Phase I grantees for 'State of the Chicago Cooperative Ecosystem' final report as a CWB deliverable. - Hosted and co-hosted 3 working group meetings, totaling 62 participants. -Met with Phase II Pre-Development grantees one-on-one to work through reporting platform as needed. - Attended 2 State Task Force meetings on Housing Cooperatives - Presented in national Community Wealth Building cohort with the Democracy Collaborative - Continued strategy and implementation of formal knowledge transfer to Chicago entities as well as local cooperative mapping to support with UHAB grant work and ongoing state Cooperative Housing Task Force - Liaised between DOH and community members about the importance of including group/zero equity cooperatives in policy. Produced 11-paged document for their consideration. - Participated in and presented DAWI worker-cooperative cohort for 3 hours. - Coordinated with local worker cooperative agenda efforts for USFWC conference happening in Chicago this fall - Attended 3 Community Land Trust community meetings to support with media footage for continued documentary features on CWB pillar work - Continued public education campaign through social channels and video creation - In conversation with Cook County Treasurer office about taxpayer address data for individual Chicago parcels as part of our research

What constraints or limitations, if any, did you experience in the last reporting period?

- Limited pre-development funds leveraging City investments are creating hurdles for Pre-Development projects to succeed and, particularly, progress to more capital-intensive development stages - Phase III not being live is stunting the planning of some Phase II Grantees and other community projects
