We produced the job solicitation request for our second position of community organizer. We have candidates for both positions. We were waiting for a contract to use from UIC, which we have now received and are in the process of finalizing.

We have requested that some additional real estate brokers work with us in the hopes of finding buildings to look at before they actually go on the market.

We had an excellent meeting with CLIHTF but they had not taken up the issue of funding cooperative units yet. The next meeting is expected to be in September and may bring more clarity.

What constraints or limitations with internal capacity is the organizarion experiencing related to its Pre-Development Project?
We need to be ready with financing when a building becomes available because decent buildings do not stay on the market very long.
What opportunities, if any, did the organization take advantage of related to its Pre-Development Project?
We have established regular bi-weekly meeting times with UHAB. We took TRP up on their offer to share a table at the Villapalooza festival.
