Please provide a brief update on your progress toward your proposed CWB goals in the last reporting period:
We hosted a webinar on worker member education methods and frameworks for the Chicago Worker Cooperative Developer Fellowship. We had Eulalio Guevara, former member of A Yard and a Half Cooperative and advisor of the Coop Ed Center as a guest presenter. We also advised fellows on their project roadmaps, identifying where they needed to refine their coop development models or sharpen their approach. We also continued planning our matchmaker event scheduled for August. The purpose of the event is to connect small business service providers and funders with the worker cooperative development community. Business service providers will learn more about worker ownership and the Chicago Community Wealth Building initiative, while connecting with entrepreneurs, cooperatives, and other relevant stakeholders. We are providing the container for attendees to ask questions, communicate their needs, and identify opportunities for collaboration and further learning and networking.
