Please provide a brief update on your progress toward your proposed CWB goals in the last reporting period:
New light manufacturing co-op: We continued our 15-session training series with the founding members of the new cooperative. This month we focused on (1) community and trust building and (2) an introduction to our partner Urban Growers Collective along with a sampling of local farm grown products that could be used as raw materials in the product members choose. We built deeper relationships and laid the foundation for deciding a business model in the coming months. ChiFresh Kitchen: We officially launched ChiFresh's new committee structure (Production, HR, Culture, Business Development, Grants, Facilities + Fleet, Finance, Administration) and supported the submission of an RFP with the YMCA for summer meals. We joined the Greater Chicago Food Depository board retreat to build a deeper relationship between GCFD and ChiFresh, which resulted in promising commitments. Jumpstart Housing Cooperative: We had multiple great conversations with potential funders to replace short-term debt and think about future developments. We continued to support Jumpstart's process with the City for the CWEB Phase II funding. We started talking about a committee structure for Jumpstart as well, and bringing the full UDC team in to support Jumpstart.

We are continuing to build relationships with key nonprofit institutions in the City that can support the growth of ChiFresh, Jumpstart, and the new cooperatives.
